Event Description

On October 6, we had an important meetup addressing one of the most profound and precise topics in the design world:  
"Fin-Tech Design Systems for Governments"  
The meetup was held in Cairo, where we hosted some of the brightest minds in Product and UX Design.

The discussion was technical and focused, shedding light on various aspects of designing government systems, particularly in the Fin-Tech sector, and the challenges faced by design teams working on projects impacting millions of users.

The speakers who joined us were:  

Ashraf Omran – Senior Visual Designer
Discussed the role of visual design in building cohesive and user-friendly systems within complex government environments.  

Karim Yasser – Product Design Lead
Shared his perspective on Product Thinking in government projects and how to balance structure and flexibility in designing financial systems.  

Ayman Taher – Product Design Lead  
Explored the stages of building robust and sustainable Design Systems and how to integrate them within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.  

Medhat Mekky – Director of UX
Concluded the day with a strategic session on the differences between designing for governments versus startups, sharing his expertise in creating experiences that serve citizens, not just users.  

This meetup was a rare opportunity to engage in a deep technical dialogue about institutional design, particularly in sensitive sectors like financial technology and governments.
